A recent report by German publication TechnikNews revealed that the Motorola phone with XT2137 model number and Ibiza codename will be arriving in the market as the Moto G50. The Chinese variant of the handset that has a model number of XT2137-2 appeared at the 3C certification platform today, which indicates it could be landing in China soon.

The Moto G50’s 3C certification shows that it is a 5G smartphone and it may ship with a 10W charger. There is a possibility that this device may land in China with as Lenovo’s Lemon series handset. It could be Motorola/Lenovo’s cheapest 5G phone as it is expected to feature Snapdragon 480 5G chipset. The XT2137-2 smartphone is yet to appear in TENAA’s database.

The Moto G50 is expected to feature a teardrop notch display that will offer an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The handset is expected to arrive with 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in storage. It will come preinstalled with Android 11 OS.

For snapping selfies, the Moto G50 will feature a 13-megapixel front camera. Its triple camera system will include a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens. It has a 5,000mAh battery.

The Moto G50 is expected to land in Europe with a price tag of 226 euros (~$270). It is also rumored to arrive in India in near future. The Moto G9 Power and Moto E7 Plus phones were rebadged as Lemon K12 Pro and Lemon K12. It remains to be seen whether the G50 arrives as a Lemon branded phone in China.
