Redmi has posted a video on Weibo that demonstrates how the shoulder key buttons work on the Redmi K40 Game version. The video shows that on moving the slider, the mechanical shoulder keys pop up. The slider also has a red color inside when it is open to indicate that the shoulder key is open.

The company says that the keys give a clicky and good feeling and it will make you want to use them repeatedly. Speaking of which, Redmi says that the shoulder keys are durable and work well for more than 1.5 million times.

The shoulder key is said to be mechanically driven and the sound of the button strokes is said to be similar to a mechanical keyboard.

Anyway, in the video, as you can see, the device is shown in three colors- White, Silver, and Grey. We have already seen the Grey one in the official poster before. The Silver and White ones also have the stripes on the side like the Grey model.

We also see the triple-cameras and the layout is a bit different from the other Xiaomi devices let alone the others in the Redmi K40 series. Reports say that the primary sensor would be a 64-megapixel primary Sony IMX686 camera. The LED flash appears in a unique lightning shape as well.

Also, the display upfront is said to be a centered punch-hole display just like the Redmi K40 standard model. Speaking of the display, it will probably be a 6.67-inch AMOLED Full HD+ screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels with a 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate.

Under the hood, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced edition will feature Dimensity 1200 chipset. A suspected Standard version has appeared on Master Lu with Dimensity 1100 but we will have to wait and see if there’s such a variant.

Other expected specs include 8GB of RAM, 256GB storage, and an FHD+ display, TUV Rheinland’s High-Game performance certification for 5G connectivity, and run  MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box.
