Realme had a global event today during which it announced the Realme GT 5G for global markets as well as a handful of IoT products. Among the latter category is the Realme TechLife Robot Vacuum, the brand’s very first vacuum cleaner.

Realme TechLife Robot Vacuum featured

The Realme TechLife Robot Vacuum has a similar design to a lot of robot vacuum cleaners on the market. It comes in black with a yellow accent for the LiDAR system.

Realme has packed the vacuum cleaner with high-precision sensors, 38 in total, to help with measurement and collision avoidance. The LiDAR system allows it to smartly map and navigate around your home. According to the product page, you can store up to five maps on the device, partition and name areas on the map, and also customize the type of cleaning you want for these areas. So if you want a deeper cleaning for areas such as the kitchen, you can configure it to do so.

The vacuum cleaner has a suction power of up to 3000Pa with four levels of suction strength, the lowest being 500Pa which is also the quietest at 55dB. There are two side brushes, one dense rolling brush, and three layers of filters to trap PM2.5 particles.

Realme TechLife Robot Vacuum specs

The Realme TechLife Robot Vacuum not only sweeps but also has a mop function with an intelligent water management system. However, users will have to buy the water tank separately as it isn’t included in the box. The dust box is 600mL while the water tank is 300mL.

It also has an intelligent cleaning feature that works in real-time. realme says it will automatically increase suction and speed for hard-to-clean areas such as wall corners and carpets. For wall edges, it will reduce travel speed and increase brush speed while for carpets it will reduce travel speed and increase suction speed. Other features are virtual walls and scheduled cleaning.

The vacuum cleaner works with Alexa and Google Assistant. So you can add them to your IoT setup and control it with the Alexa or Hey Google commands. You should also be able to add it to routines.

There is a 5200mAh battery inside the Realme TechLife Robot Vacuum which Realme claims will provide up to 300 minutes of cleaning time. Once the battery is low, it will return to the charging dock. A full charge takes about 3 hours.

Price and Availability

The Realme TechLife Robot Vacuum has a price tag of €299. It will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow on the realme website and on AliExpress. Realme is also running a competition where one lucky winner, selected every day from June 16 to June 25, will be able to purchase the vacuum cleaner at a discounted price of €199.

Realme didn’t reveal the price of the water tank neither has it released the price tag for replacement parts such as brushes and filters.
