A few days ago, Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun revealed an interesting fact about the Mi 6 flagship phone. He stated that there are still more than 2 million active users of the phone. Now, Pete Lau, the CEO of OnePlus, has also revealed that there are still active users of the OnePlus One, its first smartphone.

The co-founder had revealed the detail in a response to a post made by a Weibo user who made a video talking about his experience with the OnePlus 5. According to the individual, even though he has been using the OnePlus 5 for four years, he says the experience is still smooth.

Pete Lau had commented on the user’s post and revealed that even the OnePlus One, the brand’s first smartphone, released in June 2014, still has 300 active users.

While that figure is just a fraction, there is a high chance there are a lot more OnePlus One phones still in use out there, though they are most likely running a custom ROM, which means they can no longer be recognized by OnePlus as active devices.

Both the OnePlus One and OnePlus 5 have stopped receiving software support as they have reached the end of life. However, with custom ROMs and proper maintenance, there are still users of both devices.
