Samsung took off covers from the Galaxy A22 4G at the beginning of this month. The handset was introduced with a price tag of Rs 18,499 (~$247). Soon after its announcement, the rumor mill started speculating that the A22 5G will be also arriving in India soon. A fresh report by 91mobiles that cites information receive from tipster Yogesh reveals that the Galaxy A22 5G will possibly debut in India in August.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G specifications
The Galaxy A22 5G has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel that delivers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. The device is preinstalled with One UI 3.1 flavored Android 11 OS.
It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The rear camera setup of the device has a 48-megapixel primary, a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens. The device is backed by a 5,000mAH battery that supports 15W fast charging.
The Dimensity 700 5G chip is present under the hood of the Galaxy A22 5G. In Europe, it is available with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G pricing
With pricing of 229 euros (~$269; Rs 20,100), the Galaxy A22 5G is Samsung’s most affordable 5G smartphone. This pricing belongs to the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage edition of the handset. Since the Galaxy A22 4G is priced at Rs 18,499 (~$247), it is likely that the A22 5G may cost around Rs 20,000 (~$268) in India.
