In December 2020, Huawei unveiled the Nova 8 5G and Nova 8 Pro 5G in China. Fresh information shared by a Chinese tipster (via) reveals that the company is gearing up to launch Nova 9 series by mid-September in the home market. He also shared some key information about the Nova 9 series.

According to the tipster, the appearance and colors of the Nova 9 5G series will be better than the Honor 50 series. However, its processor will not be as good as the Honor 50 lineup. To recollect, the Honor 50/50 Pro debuted in June as the world’s first phone powered by the Snapdragon 778G chipset.

At present, there is no information available on whether the Nova 9 series will be driven by a MediaTek or a Qualcomm chip. Hopefully, newer reports will reveal more information about the Nova 9 lineup.
