Taiwanese fabless semiconductor company MediaTek announced the Dimensity 810 chipset alongside the 6nm Dimensity 920 on August 11. At that time, there were speculations that Realme will be the first smartphone maker to launch a Dimenity 810-powered phone after Madhav Sheth sought the opinion of fans if they would want the company to be the first to bring MediaTek Dimensity 810 Processor in the world.

Realme India has now confirmed today that it will launch a Diemsity 810-powered smartphone soon, the first in the world. The teaser was silent on the exact launch date and the name of the expected smartphone. However, there are speculations that the smartphone will be the Realme 8s. It is expected to feature a 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate alongside a 64MP primary camera and a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

The Dimensity 810 chip is a 6nm chip that sits below the 7nm Dimensity 820. It features 8 cores made up of four Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. MediaTek claims that it brings a 20% increase in performance compared to the previous generation. The GPU is the Mali-G57 MC2.

The chipset supports 120Hz FHD+ displays, LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.2 (2-lane) storage, and up to 64MP cameras. The chipset also has high-end AI-camera features such as AI-Bokeh and AI-Color in collaboration with Arcsoft.

Apart from Realme, OPPO is also expected to launch a Dimensity 810-powered phone soon as per a recent leak.
