Like any other OTA software update, the Android 11 update for the Micromax IN 1b is being rolled out in batches. Therefore, it is only available for a select few users.

In order to check whether their unit has received the update, users can navigate to Settings > System > Advanced >  System update. As per the official announcement post on Micromax forums, the OTA file weighs around 1.69 GB.

The company recommends users have at least 60% battery while downloading the update. It also advises users to use a strong WiFi or LTE connection.

The Micromax IN 1b is a budget smartphone featuring a 6.52-inch HD+ display. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

It houses a 13MP (wide) + 2MP (depth) dual-camera setup on the rear and an 8MP front-facing camera. It has all the essentials like a fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and a MicroSD card slot.

Last but not least, the phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging and reverse charging.
