Realme GT Neo2 is scheduled to go official on Sept. 22 in China. It will be replacing the Dimensity 1200 powered Realme GT Neo that went official in March this year. Ahead of the launch, the company released a Weibo post to confirm the chipset and battery capacity of the Neo2.

The Realme GT Neo2 will be featuring the Snapdragon 870 SoC, which is the next Qualcomm chip after the Snapdragon 888/888+ mobile platform. It will be fueled by a 5,000mAh battery, which is 500mAh bigger than the battery that was made available on the predecessor model.

The Neo2 will continue to support 65W fast charging. Realme claims that its big battery can charge completely in just 36 minutes. The handset features an AMOLED panel with a punch-hole positioned at the upper-left corner.

The Realme GT Neo2 may sport a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera system. It may feature a front camera of 16-megapixel for selfies and video calls. The handset will come preinstalled with Realme UI based Android 11 OS. It carries support for external storage.

Realme has already showcased the GT Neo2 in Black Mint (green color). It is speculated that the smartphone will be also available in three more colors such as Mirror Black, Dream Blue, and Super Orange.
