After teasing the arriving of the arrival of the Edge 20 Pro flagship for a few days, Motorola has finally confirmed it will be announced at 12 PM (local time) on Oct. 1. A landing page for Edge 20 Pro is now live on Flipkart. It mentions the key features and specifications of the smartphone.

The Flipkart landing page reveals that the Motorola Edge 20 Pro will support 11 5G bands and it will run on a near-stock version of Android 11, and it will be receiving Android 12 and 13 upgrades in the future. The flagship phone will also be provided with 2 years of security updates.

The Edge 20 Pro has a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel that offers a 144Hz refresh rate, a 576Hz touch sampling rate, and 10-bit colors. It has a front camera of 32-megapixel, and its rear camera setup has a 108-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens that can also capture macro shots, an 8-megapixel OIS-enabled telephoto camera, an audio zoom microphone, and LED flash The triple cameras promise up to 50x zoom and up to 8K video recording.

The Edge 20 Pro will feature a Snapdragon 870 chipset and 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The handset houses a 4,500mAh battery that carries support for 30W TurboPower charging. It will be available in Midnight Sky and Iridescent Cloud colors. The smartphone will offer other features like 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, IP52 water-repellent design, Wi-Fi 6 & MIMO, and audio tuning technology from Waves.

The Snapdragon 778G SoC powered Edge 20 was introduced with a price tag of Rs 29,999 (~$406) in India. Hence, the Edge 20 Pro with 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage may cost around Rs 35,000 (~$474) in the country.
