At the Honor Smart Life event last week, the brand had launched the Honor Pad V7 as the standard version of the Tab V7 Pro that was launched last month in the firm’s home market. Now, the latest Honor Pad V7 is officially available for purchase in China.
The base Wi-Fi-only model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at 1,999 yuan (~$308) but will be available at a discounted price of 1,899 yuan (~$294) during the first sale. There’s also 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model priced at 2,299 yuan (~$355). The tablet comes with 5G connectivity support, which is priced at 2,599 yuan (~$402) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model.
The Honor Pad V7 features a 10.4-inch LCD display with a 2K screen resolution (2000 x 1200 pixels), a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10, and blue-light protection. It also comes with support for Magic-Pencil 2 stylus.
It has a video enhancement feature that dynamically adjusts the contrast depending on the content on the screen. It also packs quad speakers with DTS:X Ultra, making it a good choice for multimedia content consumption.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Kompanio 900T chipset which was announced earlier this month. It is manufactured using a 6nm processor and comes with two Cortex-A78 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores along with a Mali-G68 GPU.
In terms of optics, there’s an 8-megapixel f/2.2 front-facing camera. The device is equipped with a 13-megapixel f/1.8 sensor on the back. Honor says that when making video calls, the front-facing camera will keep the person in focus even when he/she moves.
The device has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 as connectivity options along with an optional 5G support. There’s also a feature called Link Turbo X which combines 5G network with the Wi-Fi network for a faster network with speeds of up to 2.7Gbps.
It is running the Android 11 operating system out-of-the-box with Magic UI 5.0 on top and comes with several useful software features, including multi-screen collaboration, extended mode, multi-window multitasking, and more. The tablet comes powered by a 7,250mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging.
