OnePlus 9RT is expected to be the next smartphone from the brand. It is in the news since August. In the past couple of months, we have learned almost everything about it. Today (October 7), the company’s co-founder himself teases the arrival of this handset.

The latest Weibo post by Pete Lau, co-founder and Chief Product Officer of OnePlus, details the OnePus T series of smartphones released so far. In the end, the post reads that the upcoming model in the lineup will have a new name and more details will be revealed tomorrow (October 8).

Unfortunately, Weibo spoils the hype by revealing the name of the device, which is none other than ‘OnePlus 9RT’. The brand exec shared this post from the yet-to-release phone.

Last month, OnePlus revealed that there won’t be a OnePlus 9T and a OnePlus 9T Pro in 2021.  But the company did not shed details on the OnePlus 9RT. Hence, this is the first time we are hearing about the tweaked version of the OnePlus 9R officially from the brand.

According to previous reports, the OnePlus 9RT will come with features like Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera, ColorOS 12 (could be based on Android 11), 6.55-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, up to 12GB RAM/256GB storage, and three colors (blue, silver, black).

In a nutshell, the OnePlus 9RT will be a refreshed OnePlus 9R with some upgrades. Going by Pete Lau’s Weibo post, we expect the company to announce the launch date for China tomorrow.
