Samsung is gearing up to launch its next-generation Galaxy S22 Ultra flagship smartphone early next year and ahead of the official announcement, details about the upcoming device keep surfacing online.

In the latest development, we have received a few case renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone from Chinese factories. The leaked case renders reveals that the phone’s design, which is in line with the previous leaks.

The design isn’t a notable shift from Samsung’s previous models but it will be coming with several features and functionalities of the Note-series phones. The highlight will be the inclusion of an S Pen slot in the device itself, unlike the current-generation Galaxy S21 which packs support for the S Pen stylus, without a place to attach it to the device.

Based on the previous reports, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will still sport a similar 6.8-inch display over its previous iteration. The device will pack an AMOLED panel, which will have support for a high refresh rate. It will measure around 8.9mm in thickness and has the following dimensions – 163.2 x 77.9 x 8.9mm.

On the back, the camera island has four cameras and a LED flash. The smartphone has a USB Type-C port, a speaker grille, and a microphone at the bottom. Just like last year, the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra will also have S-Pen support, which will be placed beside the speaker grille at the bottom.

The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 5G SoC while some regions will get the phone powered by the company’s own Exynos 2200 chipset with AMD mRDNA GPU. There will be a 108-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens. It is also expected to have a pair of 10-megapixel telephoto lenses, with one of them being a periscope lens offering 10x optical zoom.
