The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is set to diverge plenty from its preceding lineup, with the vanilla Galaxy S22 even becoming a Mini model of sorts with its ‘tiny’ screen of 6.06-inches. The largest model on the other hand – the S22 Ultra – will likely be a true replacement for the now decommissioned Galaxy Note series and will thus be nothing like the S21 Ultra. However, new evidence shows that the S22 and S22+ models will be looking very much like their predecessors, even as their sizes will be very different.

Tipster 8090 Digital Beauty on Weibo (via Notebookcheck) claims to have snapped “S22 tempered films” in the wild. Pictures show what appears to be regular tempered glass but with a twist – they’re actually for the camera lenses and not the display.

The tempered glass for the Galaxy S22 and S22+ appear to be for a design almost identical to this year’s S21 and S21+ models. As such, the camera modules of both the devices are in a traffic-light configuration, with 2 opposite corners being pointy while the other 2 are curved.

The tempered glass for the Galaxy S22 Ultra, however, seems to be for a unique camera module design that sits well with former design leaks. There is one odd difference though. The tempered film is designed to fit on a unified camera module, as shown in the first picture below, and not separated camera lenses as shown in picture two.

Apart from this, the tipster has shared another image showcasing screen protectors for the entire Galaxy S22 lineup. The glass for the vanilla S22 proves that it’s indeed much smaller when compared to the other two. The image also reveals that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be sporting a very rectangular, boxy design with little to no rounded corners, very much reminiscent of the Note series.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is expected to be launched in February and will be featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 chipsets for the first time on a Samsung device.
