Gaming laptops may become more expensive by 2022 due to rising costs of production and component scarcity. Razer’s CEO Min-Liang Tan has tweeted a warning that prices of gaming laptops on the lineup for release in 2022 will surge amidst rising costs. The hint is coming from an authority, hence it should be taken with a high degree of reliability.Razer Blade 15

The advisory by Razer’s CEO is also encouraging intending buyers to purchase their choice gaming laptops before the holiday season and festivities. Razer is a peripherals and laptop manufacturer and has a number of gaming laptop products, with others already on the lineup. The Razer CEO said he had just finished a marathon review meeting for the company’s gaming laptops lineup for 2022 and the takeaway was that there could be significant increases in the prices of gaming laptops rolling out in 2022.

Tan said that customers will see price increases for next-gen gaming laptops across the board. Some of the devices awaiting a 2022 launch include the Razer Blade. Currently, several of Razer’s offerings in the gaming laptop segment are highly priced. The component costs increment is tied to the global chip shortage which is continuing up to mid-2022 according to some projections.
