Last month, Vivo unveiled the Vivo X80 and X80 Pro smartphones in China. Yesterday, the X80 Pro went official in the global markets. While there is no information on the arrival of the global Vivo X80, a recent report revealed that the company is working on the Vivo 80 Pro Plus flagship for the international markets. According to a new report by RootMyGalaxy, Vivo is working on another X80 series phone for the global market.

The publication has come across a new Vivo phone with model number V2208 in the firmware code. It has been found that the model number belongs to the unannounced Vivo X80 Lite 5G smartphone. At present, there is no information available on the specifications of the device.

Vivo launched the X50 Lite model back in May 2020. It hasn’t launched a Lite model for the X60 and X70 series. The moniker of the device suggests that it could be a toned-down version of the Vivo X80 handset. We hope that the device will soon show up in the database of certification platforms, which will give us more information about it.

In related news, Vivo is reportedly working on a flagship phone powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. This device is likely to debut in the global market with the Vivo X80 Pro+ moniker. There is a possibility that this device may come equipped with better cameras as compared to the Vivo X80 Pro.

The X80 Pro+ may feature a 50-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 lens, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 snapper, and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN2 camera. This device is also speculated to have support for 120W fast charging. It is expected to break in October this year.
