The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition, which has an RMX3551 model number, was spotted at TENAA and 3C certification sites earlier this month. These listings hinted that the smartphone may debut in July. Today, Realme China’s President released an official confirmation that the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition will debut in the next month.

The poster does not reveal any information about the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition’s specifications or features. However, the company has already confirmed that it will be powered by the  Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform.

It is likely that the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition launch date will be confirmed this week. Rumors are rife that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will launch on July 5. It is speculated that Realme’s flagship will be unveiled soon after the 12 Ultra.

The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a centrally positioned punch-hole. It will have support for an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will have a 32-megapixel camera on the front for snapping selfies.

The device may inherit the rear camera setup from the Realme GT 2 Pro. Hence, it is expected to arrive with an OIS-enabled Sony IMX766 50-megapixel main camera. It will be coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide snapper and a 2-megapixel camera. The device will come preinstalled with the Realme UI 3.0 flavored Android 12 OS.

The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition will be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. Its 3C authority will carry support for 100W fast charging. For security, will arrive with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powered handset could have up to 12 GB of LDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
