Google has previously announced its plans to bring the Pixel 6a to multiple regions, including India. Previous rumors regarding the Google Pixel 6a Indian launch date indicate that the device is likely to debut before the end of July. However, a new report has emerged stating that the launch is happening this week.

According to tech Youtuber Sahil Karoul, the Google Pixel 6a will launch in India on Thursday, i.e. on July 21. The lack of any teasers or promotion by Google makes this leak quite peculiar. So, we advise our readers to take it with a pinch of salt.
Relatedly, another leak from earlier today claims that Google will be pricing the smartphone competitively in the Indian market. The device is said to be priced around Rs. 37,000 (roughly $462) in India and will take on competitors like the Nothing Phone (1) and the upcoming OnePlus 10T, which is also rumored to as a mid-ranger.
Google Pixel 6a specs & features
The Pixel 6a has a 6.1-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The display supports HDR, has a 25-bit depth, and can display 16 million colors. The front has a punch hole cutout in the center and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, the device is powered by Google’s in-house Tensor chipset, which includes AI-powered features. This chipset is paired with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device also includes the Titan M2 security chip and is powered by a 4,400mAh battery pack that supports 25W fast charging.
The Pixel 6a has a dual rear camera setup with a 12.2-megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens. On the front is an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
