Huawei is apparently gearing up to launch its Mate 50 series of smartphones soon. The company’s next gen flagship models are expected to launch next month, and prior to their release, the Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro were spotted on multiple certification databases in China.

The sightings on the certification website also hints at its imminent launch. For those unaware, the Chinese tech giant is expected to unveil a number of models within the Mate 50 series, including the Mate 50, Mate 50e, Mate 50 Pro, and the Mate 50 RS edition as well. Unfortunately, the company has yet to officially reveal finer details regarding the upcoming smartphones but known tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some specifications regarding the Mate 50 series.

Looking at their social media post, it was claimed that the Mate 50 series will be equipped with 66W fast charging support and has just passed through three certification websites in China (namely 3C, SRRC, and CTA). The tipster further added that the Huawei Mate 50 Pro will also being a number of new features and functions, apart from the regular face recognition system for biometric security. It will reportedly also sport a curved display design as well on the front.

Based on a previous report, the Mate 50 series will be equipped with a 4G only version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. Meanwhile, the Mate 50e model will feature the Snapdragon 778G SoC. Apart from this, the base model would feature a 90Hz refresh rate while the higher end Pro and RS models will offer a higher 120Hz refresh rate.
