Accessories manufacturer Anker has launched its 5,000mAh Anker 621 Magnetic Battery that can be used as a MagSafe device for iPhones. The new power bank is designed for the latest iPhone models and can output up to 7.5W of power. It is also a compact and lightweight device that uses MiniCell technology. It has strong magnets to hold your iPhone in place while being charged.
The Anker 621 Magnetic Battery (MagGo) 5000mAh works very well with iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 models. There are no details on the charge time of devices using this Anker MagSafe charger, with the iPhone 13 expected to be slower in charging. Anker says the device is one of the most compact MagSafe power banks. It weighs about 142g and can easily be placed in your pocket while charging your iPhone.
The magnets in the Anker 621 MagGo are as strong as they can get. The 10N 2.2lb magnets secure the phone from being detached while charging. The power bank comes with a 60cm USB-C to USB-C cable for recharging the device. However, it is unclear how long it takes to fully charge the Anker 621 Magnetic Battery 5000mAh.
The new Anker MagSafe charger can be ordered via Amazon in the United States for $49.99. The product will subsequently be available in other markets, as it has been spotted in e-commerce website listings in these regions. Deliveries are expected to commence in early September for US buyers.
