Yesterday, Honor confirmed to launch the Honor X40 series in China on September 15. Today, the brand has started teasing the features of the handsets. At the same time, a reliable leaker shared the renders of the phone revealing its design. He has also revealed certain specs.
According to the official teaser, the Honor X40 will flaunt a curved OLED display with a centered punch-hole. The panel will offer 10-bit color depth. Further, as per the render shared by the brand, the device’s top may house an IR blaster alongside the secondary microphone.
On the other hand, Digital Chat Station has exposed the design of the handset by sharing the full-size renders. The pictures showcase the smartphone with a giant camera ring on the rear and volume as well as power keys on the right side.
Despite being big, the ring only nests two cameras and an LED flashlight. Unfortunately, neither the leaker nor the brand has disclosed the camera specs yet.
But Digital Chat Station has shed some details on the display. He says that the phone will use a 6.8-inch custom-designed OLED panel supplied by a Chinese display maker.
The screen will have curves on all four sides. It will offer support for high-frequency PWM dimming, 800 nits peak brightness, and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
That’s all the information we have on the Honor X40 so far. As per rumors, the device will be accompanied by Honor X40 Max. The new phablet is said to come with a giant LCD screen, dual rear cameras, and 40W fast-wired charging support.
