Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the successor to the Xiaomi CIVI soon. The brand has confirmed that the Xiaomi CIVI 2 will debut in China on September 27th. Recent reports have also mentioned that the CIVI 2 might debut in the global market assuming a different name.
Ahead of the September 27th launch, live images of the smartphone have surfaced online.
Twitter user Mirei shared the live images of the Xiaomi CIVI 2, revealing its design. The back panel of the device has a unique wavy pattern and a clean-looking camera island with three sensors and a flash module. On the front, the device has thin bezels and an iPhone 14 Pro-like pill-shaped camera cutout. The image also confirms that the device will come with an in-display fingerprint reader.
Xiaomi CIVI 2 specs
The Xiaomi CIVI 2 is expected to have a 6.56-inch OLED FHD+ 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
It could have dual 32-megapixel front cameras and a 50-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. It will be preloaded with the Android 12 OS, which will be overlaid with the MIUI 13. Xiaomi has confirmed that the device measures 7.23mm in thickness and weighs 171 grams.
