Samsung has rolled out the Android 12 OS upgrade for the Galaxy A11. The Galaxy A11 was released in 2020 and is powered by the Snapdragon 450 chipset. It has a 6.4-inch HD+ display and was released with Android 10 OS. The smartphone got the Android 11 upgrade in 2021 and is now receiving Android 12.
The Android 12 firmware for the Galaxy A11 brings the August 2022 security patch for the smartphone. The latest security patch addresses several privacy and security vulnerabilities according to Samsung. Atop the Android 12 upgrade is the One UI Core 4.1 bringing a color palette and improved widgets. The Android 12 upgrade for the Galaxy A11 offers improvements in basic apps like the camera, Gallery and Samsung Keyboard. The Samsung Keyboard now supports Grammarly functionality while the sharing menu has been fixed.
The update also allows the audio output device to be selected through the lock screen, while the new Dark Mode has a few improvements. Galaxy A11 users in Southeast Asia are currently receiving the Android 12 firmware while other regions will follow suit subsequently. It is unclear whether this is the last OS upgrade for the Galaxy A11 in its lifetime. It is all the same impressive feat that the device has already had two OS upgrades.
