Razer has announced the Razer Edge 5G at the RazerCon 2022 event. Developed in partnership with Qualcomm and Verizon, it is a 5G-enabled handheld gaming console. It will work with all AAA games, including Android games and games like Fortnite and Rocket League Sideswipe, which can be played through the Epic Games launcher that comes pre-installed.

Cloud streaming services such as NVIDIA GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming will also be available (still in beta) to Razer Edge 5G users. It also offers remote play options, giving full access to PC libraries through Steam Link, Moonlight, Parsec, and Xbox. Here is a look at the specifications of the Razer Edge 5G.

The Razer Edge 5G has a 6.8-inch AMOLED display that produces a Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is equipped with the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 mobile platform and 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The gaming console is powered by a 5,000mAh battery.

The Edge 5G is equipped with 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage and a microSD card slot for more storage. It will run on the Android 12 OS. It has a 5-megapixel camera on the front. It offers connectivity features like sub-6GHz, mmWave Verizon 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2. It measures 259.7 x 84.5 x 10.83mm and weighs 263.8 grams.

The Razer Edge 5G is bundled with the Razer Kishi V2 Pro controller, which offers advanced haptic feedback and a 3.5mm audio jack.

 Razer Edge 5G price and availability

The Razer Edge 5G is priced at $399 in the US and is now available for reservations. The Razer Edge Founders Edition, which comes with the Razer Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds, is priced at $499. It will be available for purchase in January 2023. The company will showcase it at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023.
