Back in May, Honor launched the Honor Play 30 in China. It is one of the most affordable 5G smartphones in the country priced at just ¥1,099 ($150).
Nearly six months after its release, the brand has now debuted a new variant of this handset in partnership with China Mobile. This device is officially called Honor Play 30M and it arrives with slightly different specs.
Honor Play 30M Specifications
The Honor Play 30M comes with three notable changes. First and foremost, it sports a side-mounted fingerprint, which is now found on the original Play 30.
Secondly, it features a 2MP depth sensor, in addition to the 13MP main camera present on the original. Finally, it arrives with 6GB RAM instead of 4GB but the storage remains the same at 128GB.
Apart from the aforementioned differences, the Honor Play 30M is the same as the Honor Play 30.
The device is built around a 6.5-inch display (LCD) with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels (HD+) and a dewdrop notch. It measures 8.69mm in thickness and weighs 194g.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480G Plus chipset. On the front, it has a 5MP selfie camera.
The handset offers 5G connectivity and 10W charging support. Finally, it is backed by a 5,000mAh battery.
