Qualcomm is set to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in a couple of weeks at the company’s annual summit. All the major smartphone makers are expected to bring phones powered by the SD 8 Gen 2 chipset soon after the processor gets launched.

Coming back to the Honor Magic 5, the report also adds that the smartphone will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor with Artificial Intelligence-based ISP tuning for better results. It will be coupled with other camera sensors, but their details are not yet known.

As per the rumors, the smartphone will feature a 6.8-inch display with support for PWM dimming and offer a high refresh rate, most likely 120Hz. It is said to be rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, and the phone’s battery will support 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Apart from the Honor Magic 5, a report claims that the company has a new foldable smartphone in the works, which could also be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. While the phone is expected to launch soon, the launch date is not yet revealed.
