According to Nikkei Asia’s reports, since 2016, LG Electronics has filed the most Metaverse patent applications, moving up from 11th place from 2010 to 2015.
Samsung Electronics held its position in second. Display colour schemes and semiconductors are among the strengths of South Korean companies. They are more focused on technologies that make virtual reality headsets. Meta ranked third, and Huawei placed fourth in the ranking with numerous patents related to image and display processing.
Apple is still in sixth place. The company has been working on a headset known as Reality Pro for a while. However, these glasses are still in early development and not ready for the end user. However, it is worth remembering that all of these patents are investments for the future.
