Xiaomi had recently announced that it will be launching its latest generation of flagship smartphones on December 11. And earlier today (8th December 2022), the company released a new Xiaomi 13 series teaser, which showcases some interesting new features.
According to the official teaser, the Chinese tech giant’s new 13 lineup will feature a new nano skin technology. This is a new material that the brand is using for the rear panel of its upcoming premium grade devices. The nano skin technology basically makes the device easier to clean, as the panel is more resistant to dust and colors. The teaser image shows the Xiaomi 13 series model being covered in paint to showcase this aspect.
In an official teaser video, we can see that the devices are covered with various different kinds of paint and colors, including spray paint as well. Although, simply wiping it clear with a paper towel managed to remove all the different kinds of colors. This is basically a one stop solution to removing any issues regarding dirt or discoloration of a rear panel of the smartphone. In other words, the design of the Xiaomi 13 series doesn’t just focus on aesthetics alone but also serves a useful function as well.
For those unaware, the Xiaomi 13 series is set to feature Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, with the Pro model sporting a 50 megapixel 1 inch sensor and a 75mm Leica telelphoto lens as well. The company was originally planning on launching the new flagship phones back on 1st December 2022, but due to an unknown delay, the launch was shifted to the December 11.
