Redmi has started teasing the Redmi Note 12 series in India. The company is expected to confirm the India launch date of the Note 12 lineup soon. A recent tweet by tipster Abhishek Yadav has revealed that it will be made official in the fourth week of this month (December).
According to the tipster, the Redmi Note 12 series will make its debut in India on Dec. 23. He added that since the information has surfaced through a new source, it may not be accurate.
The landing page of the RedmI Note 12 5G series is now live on Xiaomi India’s website. The teaser on the website suggests that the company may launch as many as three devices, like the Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro+, which were announced in China in October.
Redmi Note 12 series specifications
The Redmi Note 12 series has a 6.67-inch OLED panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Note 12 has an 8-megapixel front camera, whereas the Pro models feature a 16-megapixel selfie snapper.
The vanilla model has a 48-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system. The Pro model has a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, whereas the Pro+ features an OIS-assisted 200-megapixel primary camera. Both Pro models have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro snapper on the back.
The Redmi Note 12 is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip, whereas the Pro models have the Dimensity 1080 SoC. All three phones have LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. The Note 12, 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro+ support 33W, 67W, and 120W fast charging, respectively. The Note 12 lineup runs on MIUI 13-based Android 12 and has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
