Apple might finally have a set launch date for its highly anticipated mixed reality headset. The upcoming device also marks the company entering a new category of products. Now, a new report has revealed when we can expect the headset to drop.

According to sources close to the matter, the Cupertino based giant will be officially showcasing its AR/VR based headset later this year, during its WWDC event. This is a major conference from the iPhone maker that is typically held in the middle of the year, so we can expect an announcement sometime in June 2023. As per previous reports, the device in question could be called the Reality Pro.

Initial rumors had hinted at an earlier launch, however, the brand faced various challenges in regards to software and hardware. Because of this, it had to postpone the launch. The headset will likely arrive with a hefty price tag that could go as high as 3,000 US Dollars. Although, finer details regarding its specs and features are still unclear. But for this price, we can expect Apple to offer new features and functions that have not been seen in AR or VR based headsets so far.

Based on our older reports, the company could offer dual 4K displays and an array of cameras to help in advanced tracking and controller free input. This device will also be powered by the capable M2 processor that will easily outclass any other chipset for headset devices in terms of raw power. The platform will also run on the new xrOS software as well. So stick around for more updates regarding this matter.
