Earlier today, Vivo officially launched the Y100 mid-range smartphone in India. The brand has another smartphone in the pipeline called the Vivo Y56 5G which is teased to debut soon. Ahead of the official launch, it appears that the device is already available to purchase via an offline store.

Mumbai-based offline retailer Mahesh Telecom has shared an image of the new Vivo Y56 5G in its packaging box. The image informs that the device has a single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant that costs ₹19,999. Additionally, the brand has also listed it on its official website with all the specifications and features. Let’s take a look at the details.

Vivo Y56 5G specs

The Vivo Y56 5G is built with a plastic frame and body, with two circular camera cutouts and an LED flash module on the back. On the front, there is a 6.58-inch IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 2408 × 1080 pixels, 60Hz refresh rate, and a waterdrop notch. The display has a thick chin and moderate bezels.

It runs on an entry-level 5G processor, the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, and supports seven 5G bands in India. The device also has 8GB of physical RAM, and with Extended RAM 3.0, it can offer an additional 8GB of virtual RAM. It has a large 5000mAh battery but only supports 18W fast charging via the USB Type-C port. The Y56 5G comes with Android 13 pre-installed and has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock for biometric authentication.

The Vivo Y56 5G is equipped with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary sensor on the back, both of which support Night mode and other features. On the front, there is a 16MP camera. The camera setup includes a variety of modes such as Photo, Night, Portrait, Video, 50MP, Panorama, Live Photo, Slo-mo, Time-Lapse, and Pro. The phone weighs approximately 184 grams and has dimensions of 164.05 × 75.60 × 8.15mm. It supports Wi-Fi on both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz frequencies as well as Bluetooth 5.1.
