After multiple leaks and official teasers, the Redmi 12C finally makes its global debut. The device’s first international stop is in Indonesia as confirmed by the brand itself a few days back.

For the unaware, the Redmi 12C was announced in China in late December. It is a budget 4G smartphone with nothing much to brag about, except for its affordable price.

The Redmi 12C arrives in three memory configurations in Indonesia. These variants carry the following price tags.

  • 3GB + 32GB – Rp 1,399,000 (~$90)
  • 4GB + 64GB – Rp 1,599,000 (~$105)
  • 4GB + 128GB – Rp 1,799,000 (~$115)

The phone can be availed in either Graphite Gray or Ocean Blue color options. It will be available for purchase starting tomorrow (March 10) across multiple channels in the country.

The handset is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, which is paired with LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. It boots MIUI 13 based on Android 12 and is guaranteed to receive two two Android updates and three years of security updates.

The device sports a 6.71-inch display (LCD) with a resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels (HD+) and a dewdrop notch. The screen offers a 20.6:9 aspect ratio, a 1500:1 contrast ratio, and 500 nits peak brightness level.

It comes with a 50MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. It not only has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor but also a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as a dedicated MicroSD card slot.

The connectivity options on the Redmi 12C include dual SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, and a MicroUSB port. Last but not least, the phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery support for 10W charging.
