Earlier this month, a reliable tipster revealed that Xiaomi is gearing up to release Redmi Note 12S in Europe. He hinted that the device will be powered by a MediaTek chipset.

Around two weeks later, this product seem to have been spotted on FCC. The listing discloses some interesting details. Let’s go through them.

A mysterious Redmi-branded smartphone has been spotted on FCC by GoAndroid. This handset bears model number 2303CRA44A. Recently, It was also certified by EEC along with 23030RAC7Y.

The FCC documentation states that the Redmi Note 11S is the original version of 2303CRA44A. In addition to including images of the devices, it also goes on to say that the new variant arrives with a couple of changes. 

Hence, there’s a high chance of this phone being the upcoming Redmi Note 12S

The yet-to-release handset is said to come bundled with a different charger, cable, and camera. As per the model number of the charger, it will support up to 67W output.

So the Redmi Note 12S will likely carry support for 67W charging compared to 33W on the Redmi Note 11S. Unfortunately, we don’t have any info on the new camera.

As far as other specs are concerned, we expect the Redmi Note 12S to retain the 6.43-inch FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Helio G96 SoC, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, and IR blaster.
