Huawei Health is a health-tracking app that offers features similar to Samsung Health app. By connecting it to a Huawei wearable, users can track and manage their fitness and health-related activities, such as step counting, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and more. However, for reasons unknown to us, the Huawei Health app is no longer available in the Google Play Store. Here are the details.
If you’re someone who relies on Huawei Health to track your fitness and health activities, this news may disappoint you. However, it makes sense for Google to delist the app as its last version from 2020 and it didn’t have support for Huawei’s latest wearables, like the Band 7. In case, you want to install the application on your device, you’re left with two options—sideload it through untrusted sources or get the Huawei App Gallery first and install it from there.
Notably, the application is still available in Apple’s App Store and Samsung’s Galaxy Store. To remind you, Huawei Health can be paired with Huawei wearables, including smartwatches and fitness trackers, to provide detailed insights about a user’s health and fitness data.
Currently, it is unclear why Huawei Health has been removed from the Google Play Store. This could be due to a range of reasons, from technical issues to Huawei’s failure in updating the app to newer Android APIs. However, if you already have the app installed on your device, you should still be able to use it as normal, but it may not receive updates or bug fixes in the future.
