Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its latest flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, on April 18th. Ahead of its launch, a new leak has confirmed some exciting details about the phone’s camera system.
According to the Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will boast a four-camera system that covers the entire focal range, including a brand-new sensor for the secondary camera. The primary camera will use the IMX989 sensor, known for its exceptional image quality, with a 1-inch large sensor size.
What’s more, the main camera will feature variable aperture technology, allowing users to adjust the aperture size during shooting for enhanced blurring effects and greater adaptability to different lighting conditions. This feature is a first for Xiaomi’s smartphone cameras and is sure to be a game-changer in the smartphone camera market.
With the most camera features among the large-screen flagships released this year, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is set to be an ultra-premium device. The phone’s price is expected to start from 6,299 Yuan (~$916) for the base variant and will go up to 7,499 (~$1,090) for the premium one.
Xiaomi’s collaboration with Leica is also expected to add more depth and quality to the camera system, further enhancing the user experience. It is worth mentioning that besides the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, there are also many other new products released during this launch event, such as the Xiaomi Pad 6 series and the Xiaomi Band 8.
