Some of us like stability. We are just comfortable in our current state and don’t want to upgrade constantly. Relax, this is no Motivation 101 lesson. Instead, we have some news for those still using Windows 10 version 21H2. Microsoft has recently announced that support for version 21H2 will end next month. This means that starting June, you will no longer receive any security updates or additional features. Plus, the company will automatically upgrade your system.
Support Ends for Windows 10 version 21H2
Microsoft now presumably working on Windows 12 but there are users who are still on the older Windows 10 version 21H2. However, the company has now issued an ultimatum stating the support for the mentioned Windows version ends in about a month. After that, there will be no more security updates, leaving your device exposed to various security threats.
Users can either upgrade to the newer Windows 10 22H2 or make a bold move and shift to the latest Windows 11. Microsoft has announced that the servicing and support for the Windows 10 21H1 Home, Pro, Pro Education, and Pro Workstation editions will end on June 13. The June 2023 security update, scheduled to be released on the same day, will be the last update for those editions.
“To help keep you protected and productive, Windows Update will automatically initiate a feature update for Windows 10 consumer devices and non-managed business devices that are at, or within several months of, reaching the end of servicing. This keeps your device supported and receiving monthly updates that are critical to security and ecosystem health,” Microsoft notes in a reminder.
