At the WWDC keynote yesterday, Apple launched a 15-inch MacBook Air with an M2 processor. The brand also announced the next-generation operating system for its phones, tablets, laptops, and watches. Now after the launch of a new MacBook Air model, Apple has officially slashed the prices of the 13.6-inch MacBook Air with M2 in various markets. The new prices are already reflected on the brand’s official website. 

13.6-inch MacBook Air M2 gets a permanent price cut

The 13.6-inch MacBook Air M2 is now cheaper by $100. However, the revised pricing varies depending on the region. In the US and Canada, the laptop is now available at $1,100 and C$1,450 respectively. It costs EUR 1,150 and EUR 1,300 in the UK and Germany respectively. In the Indian market, the MacBook Air M2 is cheaper by Rs 5,000 making it available for Rs 1,14,900. It’s worth noting that the aforementioned prices are for the base model of the laptop. 

The newly launched 15-inch MacBook Air M2 is expensive by $200 (costs $1,299 for the base model) compared to the revised prices of the 13.6-inch MacBook Air M2. 

The price difference also narrows down between the 13.6-inch MacBook Air M2 and the 13.3-inch MacBook Air M1. Apart from the differences in the hardware, the M2 variant has a slightly taller display bearing a resolution of 2560 x 1664 pixels and 500 nits peak brightness. It features a 1080p FaceTime camera housed inside the display notch. The laptop is equipped with a quad-speaker setup with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos. 

It’s worth noting that the 13.3-inch MacBook Air M1 is often found at discounted prices on third-party retailer platforms.
