Last year, Vivo launched the Vivo X90 smartphone in China featuring the Dimensity 9200 SoC. Now, it has launched the Vivo X90s smartphone as a mid-cycle refresh with the new Dimensity 9200+ processor, along with other improvements like the inclusion of WiFi 7 support.

Not much has changed in terms of design as the device still features a large, circular camera island on the flat back, holding four sensors. Up front, there is a slight curve to the display with the bezels tucked away on the sides. The top and bottom bezels are quite slim and symmetrical.

The device features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800×1260 pixels. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 105% NTSC color gamut, and HDR support. With a screen-to-body ratio of 93.53% and a contrast ratio of 8000000:1, the display delivers immersive visuals with deep blacks and vibrant colors. It supports 1.07 billion colors and has a pixel density of 452PPI, ensuring sharpness and clarity.

Performance

The Vivo X90s smartphone is powered by the Dimensity 9200+ SoC, offering powerful performance. It is an octa-core processor with a configuration of 3.35GHz×1, 3.0GHz×3, and 2.0GHz×4, delivering efficient and smooth multitasking. Built on TSMC’s 4nm process, it ensures a balance between performance and power efficiency. The device is equipped with the Immortalis-G715 for enhanced graphics processing capabilities. Additionally, the Vivo X90s incorporates a self-developed image chip V2, enabling advanced image processing for improved photography.

In terms of memory and storage, it offers 12GB of LPDDR5X four-channel RAM, ensuring seamless multitasking and smooth operation. The device also provides ample storage with 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, allowing for the storage of large files, apps, and multimedia content.

The Vivo X90s is powered by a 4810mAh (typical value) / 4690mAh (rated value) battery, offering long-lasting usage on a single charge. Additionally, it supports 120W ultra-fast flash charging, allowing for quick and convenient charging.

The device offers 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 (802.11 ax), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS (L1+L5 Dual Band) + GLONASS, and USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity options.

Camera

The Vivo X90s smartphone boasts a powerful 32MP front camera with an f/2.45 aperture, supporting various shooting modes and offering 2x digital zoom. On the rear, it features a triple camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX866 main camera, a 12MP professional portrait camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The rear cameras support sports, night scene, portrait, photo, video, professional, and other modes, with 2x digital zoom for the main and wide-angle cameras, 2x optical zoom, and 20x digital zoom for the portrait camera.

The front camera uses FF focus, while the rear cameras utilize AF autofocus and OIS anti-shake technology. Video recording capabilities include up to 1080P resolution for the front camera and rear wide-angle camera, and up to 4K resolution for the rear main camera and rear portrait camera.

The Vivo X90s is available in three configurations:
