Previously known by its internal code name SF, the Leopard 5 was initially positioned as a hardcore off-road electric vehicle, aiming to rival the renowned Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Notably, the car featured the mysterious numbers 2316 or 2318, leading industry experts to speculate that it may boast dual motors, three differential locks (front, middle, and rear), and an impressive battery range of 1000 kilometers. The expected release date falls between June and August.

The hybrid system incorporates the core technical advantages of its predecessors, offering a comprehensive battery range of 1,200 kilometers and a remarkable maximum power output of over 500 kilowatts.
Internal sources indicate that the Leopard 5 might feature a non-load-bearing body structure, along with BYD‘s cloud car-p intelligent body control system. Furthermore, it is expected to be equipped with the innovative DM-o hybrid platform. The anticipated price range for the Leopard 5 is between 400,000 and 600,000 yuan, with plans to commence official deliveries later this year.
