As per reports, Realme is preparing for the launch of the Realme GT Neo 6 series in China. It may possibly launch in August of this year. A new leak courtesy of reliable leaker Digital Chat Station reveals that the company is also working on a flagship phone powered by the forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

According to the tipster, the upcoming Realme flagship will boast the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and pack impressive specifications. He added that the smartphone will be equipped with a periscope zoom camera. Unfortunately, no further details regarding other specifications or the exact launch timeframe were shared.

It is highly likely that this Realme flagship will belong to the GT series and may be unveiled a few months after the Realme GT Neo 6 series. Qualcomm is expected to officially announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in October of this year. Brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, OnePlus, and iQOO are expected to launch Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered flagship phones in November and December of this year.

Rumors suggest that the Realme GT Neo 6, which is expected to launch in August, will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Hence, it is likely that the brand may launch its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone at least six months after the Realme GT Neo 6. Hence, there is a possibility that it may debut at some point in the first quarter of 2023.

In related news, the Realme GT Neo 6 is expected to arrive with a 6.74-inch OLED 144Hz display that offers a 1.5K resolution, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, and an OIS-enabled Sony IMX890 50-megapixel triple camera unit on the back. The Snapdragon Gen 2-powered phone may come with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. There is a possibility that the device may support 240W fast charging, like the Realme GT Neo 5.
