In August, Xiaomi is expected to announce multiple products, such as Redmi Pad 2, Redmi K60 Ultra, and Xiaomi Pad 6 in China. However, the star of the show is going to be the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3. So far, reports have claimed that it will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. However, a new leak (via. TechGoing) reveals that the foldable phone will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s overclocked version.

According to the leak, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will be powered by the impressive 3.36GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is an overclocked variant of the regular version that clocks at 3.2GHz. The recently announced Red Magic 8s Pro gaming smartphone is also equipped with the same chip. It will be paired with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. It will pack a 4,800mAh battery with 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The tipster further said that the MIX Fold 3 will come equipped with a waterdrop hinge, which not only enhances strength but also reduces weight, resulting in improved durability.

Other reports have claimed that the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will have a 6.56-inch cover screen that delivers an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be equipped with an 8.02-inch foldable display with support for Quad HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1912 pixels. Both screens will offer a 120Hz refresh rate.

The inner display will be equipped with an in-screen camera. The rear camera setup of the device will have a Sony IMX800 primary camera, a periscope zoom camera with 10x optical zoom, a telephoto camera with 3.2x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide lens. It will come preloaded with the MIUI 14-based Android 13.
