The Realme GT 5 is expected to debut soon in China. As the smartphone launch draws near, a few new leaks have emerged online, one of which is that the phone may come in two battery variants, each offering a different charging capability. Now, a new Weibo post from Xu Qi (President of Realme) has revealed that the smartphone will come with up to 24 GB of RAM.

Realme GT5 24GB RAM

The post mentioned that the upcoming GT 5 has entered the 24GB memory era to improve the user experience. For those unaware, the previous GT series came with up to 16GB RAM. The Realme GT 5 is not the first smartphone to come with 24GB RAM, as Xiaomi and Red Magic have already launched the Redmi K60 Ultra and the Red Magic 8S Pro with up to 24GB RAM. Additionally, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, which is scheduled to launch tomorrow, will also have up to 24GB RAM onboard. Other than that, the post has also confirmed that the GT 5 will come with an actual “Killer Feature” that will unlock the large memory to the extreme. This is likely the virtual RAM feature, which was introduced with Android 12.  We’ve heard some leaked information about the possible key features of the GT 5.

The device is speculated to come with two different battery variants: the 4600mAh, which will support 240W fast charging, and the 5200mAh which will support 150W fast charging. Under the hood, the device is said to be powered by SnapDragon 8 Gen 2 with available storage of up to 1TB. The device might be equipped with a 6.74-inch OLED panel with a 1.5K Resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
