Vivo has officially announced that it is dropping the price tags of two of its existing Y series smartphones in India. The company is lowering the price of the Vivo Y02T and the Y16 model. This is the second time the devices have seen a fall in pricing, so here are all the details.

Vivo Y02T & Vivo Y16 New India Pricing

The Chinese smartphones received a price slash in the past. Now, a second wave of change is lowering the cost even further. Vivo made the announcement of these changes on its official account on X (formerly Twitter). The brand had reduced the cost of the Vivo Y02T by 500 INR, while the Y16 saw a 1,000 INR drop. This time around, the company is lowering the pricing of both entry level smartphones by another 500 INR.

Vivo Y16 Y02T Price Drop

The Vivo Y16 has a new starting price tag of 10,499 INR for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage base model. On the other hand, the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option will be sold for 11,999 INR. Meanwhile, the Vivo Y02T’s price has dropped to 8,999 INR for the lone 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option. The Indian pricing updates have already appeared on the company’s official website, Flipkart, and Amazon.

Vivo Y02T & Vivo Y16 Specs

Despite the difference in pricing, the Vivo Y02T and Y16 feature similar specs and features. Both handsets sport a 6.51-inch HD+ LCD panel. Under the hood, a MediaTek Helio P35 powers both devices, which also run on Android 13 OS based FuntouchOS out of the box. The primary difference between the two models is the cameras. The Y02T features a lone 8-megapixel rear camera, while the Y16 has a 13-megapixel dual camera setup.
