The flagship Vivo X100 series of smartphones are set to launch soon. But prior to the official announcement, the company’s upcoming X100 Pro model was spotted on a popular benchmarking platform. So let’s have a look.
Vivo X100 Pro surfaces on GeekBench
The Vivo X100 Pro was found listed on GeekBench, carrying the model number V2324A. While previous rumors had hinted at the vanilla X100 and X100 Pro featuring MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, the latest sighting suggests otherwise. On the benchmarking platform, the high end device was equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. This is quite odd considering the processor from Qualcomm is quite dated for a new flagship smartphone.
The latest generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was recently announced and the top end Vivo X100 Pro+ model is confirmed to feature this chipset. Looking at the GeekBench listing, the X100 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which is paired with the 12GB of RAM and the Adreno 730 GPU. It also reveals that the device will run on Android 14 OS out of the box.
This model scored 984 points in the single core test and 3,293 points in the multi core test. In a recent leak, known tipster Digital Chat Station shared the camera specifications of the Vivo X100 Pro. Reportedly, the smartphone will feature a Samsung JN1 ultra wide angle lens and a OmniVision OV64B telephoto camera that offers 4.3x optical zoom. Meanwhile, the primary camera is likely a Sony IMX920 sensor.
