Tecno is reportedly working on a successor to its Phantom V Fold, the company’s first foldable smartphone launched earlier this year. The forthcoming device was discovered through an IMEI database entry.
The IMEI listing reveals the foldable’s name, Phantom V2 Fold, and its model number, AE10. Specific details about the Tecno Phantom V2 Fold’s specifications are scarce at the moment.
To get an idea of what to expect from the Phantom V2 Fold, let’s take a look at the original Phantom V Fold.
The Tecno Phantom V Fold boasts a 7.85-inch AMOLED LPTO foldable display with a 2K+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an 8:7 aspect ratio.
Unfolded, the display measures a 6.42-inch which is still an AMOLED panel, with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 21:9 aspect ratio. The device runs on Android 13 OS and HiOS 13 Fold UI.
In terms of cameras, the Phantom V Fold sports a 32-megapixel front-facing camera and a 16-megapixel camera on the foldable screen.
Its rear camera setup comprises a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.
Likewise, powering the Phantom V Fold is the Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM, up to 9 GB of virtual RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
