After much speculation, Chinese tech giant Honor officially confirmed its collaboration with esteemed luxury design house Porsche Design about a week ago. Today the company has shared a teaser poster that hints at a smartphone inspired by the iconic Porsche 911 sports car.

The image showcases a smartphone with the classic Honor and Porsche Design logos discreetly positioned on the back. This could be the much anticipated Honor Magic 6 Porsche Design phone, potentially arriving in China as early as January.

Based on rumors, the Magic 6 Porsche Design will share its core specifications with the Magic 6 Pro. This means the phone could come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a quad-curved OLED display, and a unique pill-shaped cutout for dual front cameras.

Likewise, the phone is also expected to feature a 1-inch Omnivision OV50K sensor for the main camera and a 160MP periscope telephoto lens. Two-way satellite communication may also be on the table.

However, the teaser image suggests the main draw lies in the phone’s design, potentially drawing inspiration from the iconic Porsche 911 sports car. But rumors suggest this might not be the only Porsche-inspired device in the works.

Reports indicate that, alongside the Magic 6 Porsche Design, a special edition foldable Magic V3 could also be in the works. Like its anticipated counterpart, this V3 is said to draw design inspiration from the classic Porsche 911. The phone is internally said to be codenamed “Honor 911,” and production of this model is reportedly limited to just 911 units.
