The first week of 2024 will be packed with smartphone launches just like the last week of 2023. Five events are confirmed by the brands and each of them will be hosted by a different company.
Four of these conferences will take place on the same day, i.e., January 4 (Thursday). Three of them will even start at the same time.
Out of all the five confirmed launch events, three of them will be held in India headed by Tecno, Xiaomi, and Vivo. Whereas, the remaining two by OnePlus and Honor will be hosted in China.
With that out of the way, let’s take a look at all the phones coming out in the next few days.
The Tecno Pop 8 is set to launch in India on January 3 (Wednesday). It is expected to go official at 12 PM IST via press release and social media posts.
The Pop 8 will be powered by a Unisoc T606 chip. It will have a flat frame and its cameras will be arranged in an iPhone Pro-like manner.
The device will come with a 6.6-inch HD+ 90Hz display, a 13MP rear camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and 10W charging support.
2. Redmi Note 13 Series
The Redmi Note 13 series is scheduled to launch in India on January 4 (Thursday). The press conference will kickstart at 12 PM IST.
Xiaomi will debut three models, namely Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G. As per leaks and teasers, the handsets will be the same as the ones sold in China with a few differences on the the vanilla variant.
The Pro Plus version offers several premium features, like an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, a 1.5K 120Hz curved OLED display, a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 camera, and a leather back.
3. Vivo X100 Series
The Vivo X100 series is planned to launch in India on January 4 (Thursday). The launch event will start at 12 PM IST.
Two devices will be announced, namely Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro. Both phones will be the same as their Chinese counterparts.
The duo is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC and flaunts a 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz (LTPO) curved OLED display. It features a 50MP primary camera assisted by a 60MP ultrawide unit. The periscope telephoto camera is a 50MP sensor on the pro and a 64MP sensor on the regular version.
The X100 and X100 Pro are backed by 5,000mAh and 5,400mAh batteries, respectively. The former supports 100W wired charging, whereas the latter supports 120W wired as well as 50W wireless charging.
4. OnePlus Ace 3
OnePlus Ace 3 Sand Gold
The OnePlus Ace 3 will launch in China on January 4 (Thursday). Its press conference will begin at 2:30 PM local time (GMT+8).
The Ace 3 will look similar to the OnePlus 12. It will flaunt a 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz curved OLED display and house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
The device will sport a 50MP (wide) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro) triple camera setup and a 16MP selfie camera. It will draw energy from a 5,500mAh battery and carry support for 100W charging.
5. Honor X50 GT
The Honor X50 GT is scheduled to launch in China on January 4. It will be presented at a conference which will start at 7:30 PM local time (GMT+8).
According to leaks and teasers, the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC. It will be built around a 6.78-inch flat OLED display offering a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
It will sport a 108MP (wide) + 2MP (macro) dual camera setup and an 8MP selfie camera. Lastly, it will house a 5,800mAh battery and support 35W charging.
