Motorola has recently expanded its smartwatch collection with the introduction of the Moto Watch 40, following the launch of the Moto Watch 70 and Moto Watch 200 last year. The Moto Watch 40, designed to be a more compact and affordable option, aims to cater to a wide range of users with its versatile features and durable design.
The Moto Watch 40 offers a 1.57-inch curved LCD screen, providing users with over 85 watch face options to customize their look. The watch’s zinc alloy casing and interchangeable silicone straps, available in Phantom Black and Rose Gold, ensure durability and style. Additionally, the device is IP67 rated, offering protection against dust and water, making it a reliable companion for everyday wear.
On the software side, the Moto Watch 40 runs on z, supporting notifications for a connected smartphone, though it cannot reply to messages or make calls directly from the watch. Despite this, the smartwatch boasts impressive health and fitness tracking capabilities, including 24/7 heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, sleep and stress tracking, all of which can be integrated with Google Fit for a comprehensive health overview.
The device is equipped with a 240mAh battery, promising up to 10 days of battery life. The inclusion of fast charging technology allows for a full charge in just 25 minutes using the included two-pin magnetic charger.
Pricing & availability
The Moto Watch 40 is now available for order in the United States at a price of $64.99, offering color choices of Phantom Black and Rose Gold. However, Motorola has not disclosed pricing or availability details for other markets at this time.
