Now the company is rolling out the HarmonyOS 4 public beta program for an additional 12 smartphones and five smartwatch models, including the Huawei P30 and Mate 20 series. Users can now upgrade their devices to the latest version of HarmonyOS through the Huawei Sports Health app or directly from their smartwatch settings.

Additionally, during the Huawei Pocket 2 Fashion Ceremony, held on February 22, Yu Chengdong revealed plans for a major version update to the Hongmeng system in the coming fall. This update, dubbed HarmonyOS NEXT, aims to further refine the user experience by focusing solely on Hongmeng kernel and system applications, paving the way for a more integrated and streamlined ecosystem.
