Oppo has recently launched a satellite communication version of the Find X7 Ultra. The phone also received 5.5G through a software update (PHY110_14.0.1.512/CN01) just a couple of days ago after China Mobile officially launched 5.5G towards the end of March, making it the first to support the advanced connectivity. Now there is another update (1.17GB) to the Find X7 Ultra with ColorOS version PHY110 14.0.1.86(CN01), that brings a number of new animations and controls. So, let’s take a look.

New and updated animations

  • The update adds new visual effects such as wallpaper zooming on startup and exit, seamless icon deformation, etc.
  • New notification and control center pull-down animation, icon, and card layering effects
  • Newly added wallpaper scaling and screen brightness gradient effects when turning the screen on and off.
  • Ability to customize the background color and Gaussian blur effect
  • Improved disappearing animation for elements when unlocking
  • Improved startup and exit animation of global search, which is softer and more consistent

Feature updates

  • Added volume bar in the control center to quickly adjust the volume
  • Added support for 200+ application clones
  • Supports lock screen pattern unlocking and hidden unlocking tracks
  • Free-floating window now supports dragging the bottom to resize and sliding up gesture to close in mini mode

Other improvements (New control, smooth follow-up)

  • Newly added large folders support icon sinking gesture, making it easy to open applications with one hand
  • Improved response speed of click and sliding operations make multi-tasking operations more stable and block more timely
  • Enhanced application startup and exit, multi-tasking start and end animation effects
  • Improved animation of large folders makes app drag and drop feel smoother

The regular version of the Oppo Find X7 Ultra was launched in January this year with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The phone equips a quad 50MP camera setup for the back with a 1″ main sensor.
